Superhome of the Year Awards aim to inspire homeowners, designers/architects and all project participants to create homes that are both high-performance and high-quality architecture. Healthier, energy-efficient homes, addressing the pressing and urgent need across New Zealand for climate-positive healthy homes that are a joy to live in. These awards create awareness for the community and also recognise and celebrate those who are already leading the way, applauding their innovative contributions and commitment to the betterment of the profession.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS‍

• Every home that has featured as a Superhome of the Month in our monthly newsletters is automatically eligible for entry.
• Complete and submit entry on website, detailed house specifications, participants and answering questions about the house. Refer to the Superhome Certification Guide for Superhome Criteria.
• Upload a minimum of 6 professional photos with a variety of both external and interior photos. Upload presentation drawings including site plan/landscaping plan, floor plans, elevations and at least two cross sections.

• Client brief/design rationale outlining the main sustainable solutions, any specific design challenges and how these were overcome etc. Supply as Word doc or PDF.

CRITERIA

• All entries must align with either Base, Better or Best of the Superhome Certification Guide.
• Homeowners must give consent for their home to be entered if you are entering on behalf of the project.
• Someone involved in the project has to be involved in some way in the Superhome Movement (e.g. Participant or Partner, designer, builder, supplier, etc).
