New Christchurch homes that showcase sustainable, innovative and affordable design
Full day tour with lunch provided
For architects, designers, planners, builders, developers, and other building professionals.
You are invited to look through five of the most innovative new homes in Christchurch and talk with the designers and project managers about the key features of each home. These homes showcase energy and water efficiency, modern construction methods, and are part of the Superhome Movement.
SUPERHOME movement is creating awareness for homeowners, builders and designers, triggering behavioural change in decision making on designing and building superior homes. The current building code describes the lowest possible building standards that are legally permitted across New Zealand. BRANZ research shows that building code is universally mistakenly used as the target quality standard rather than a legal minimum.
Code minimum does not present satisfactory levels of comfort, health and wellbeing, nor efficiency in regulating heat and energy consumption.
Join this inspirational bus tour and meet with other building professionals in an enjoyable and open learning environment.
